Water-related issues, such as resource wastage, urban flooding, non-point source pollution, and ecological degradation caused by improper stormwater management in urbanized areas, are becoming increasingly prominent. The objective of the Stormwater Resource Laboratory is to explore and address the challenges posed by urban stormwater by applying advanced environmental monitoring technologies, experimental systems, and mathematical models. This research focuses on the characteristics, processes, modeling, and management of urban runoff pollution. It aims to develop technologies andmethods based on Low Impact Development (LID) and Green Infrastructure (GI) to prevent urban flooding, control runoff pollution, utilize stormwater resources, and promote ecological restoration.

Specializations

Urbanization and non-point source pollution
