We were pleased to welcome Associate Professor Zainul Akmar Bin Zakaria, International Cooperation Coordinator from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia’s Faculty of Chemical and Energy Engineering, on September 29. His visit highlighted our growing partnership and explored new opportunities in research and student mobility.
Dean Qin Huapeng welcomed the delegation, outlining our school’s academic development, program strengths, and international engagement strategy. Associate Professor ZAINUL reciprocated with an overview of UTM’s institutional profile and the research scope of his faculty.
A key segment featured five UTM students currently completing a three-month research internship at our school. They presented their findings and reflected on their academic and cultural experiences in Shenzhen.

Both sides explored concrete steps for collaboration, including joint research projects and dual-degree programming. In a special gesture, Associate Professor ZAINUL presented official appreciation letters to our faculty mentors. The exchange of commemorative gifts underscored a shared commitment to future cooperation.

The visit included tours of the Research Laboratory of Ecological Environment and Resource Efficiency and the Nanshan Energy Eco-Park, offering insight into our research capacity and Shenzhen's sustainability initiatives.
