Shenzhen Engineering Laboratory for Eco-efficient Recycled Materials
The Laboratory was established with funding from Shenzhen Development and Reform Committee in 2013.The objective is to develop novel eco-efficient materials based on urban waste, including municipal solid waste incineration ash, construction and demolition waste, wood waste and waste sludge. The laboratory focuses on research and technology transfer on utilization and solid waste and preparation of environmental materials, including adsorbent for air pollution control, geopolymer materials for building and construction, and additives for water and waste treatment. The Laboratory is equipped with analytical instruments for material characterization and a pilot plant for scale up studies.
