Postdoctoral Recruitment

School: School of Environmental and Energy Engineering at Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School

Annual Salary

The base annual salary is approximately 120,000 RMB, with social insurance and housing fund contributions in accordance with Shenzhen's relevant regulations.

Outstanding or well-performing candidates will receive the Shenzhen Postdoctoral Living Subsidy, amounting to 180,000 RMB per year for two years, totaling 360,000 RMB.

Upon program completion, those who remain in Shenzhen for work may apply for research startup funding (300,000 RMB) and high-level talent allowances (1.6 million RMB).

Assistance will be provided in securing university dormitories or nearby talent apartments.

Position Description

1. Participation in the following project topics (optional):

(1) National Key R&D Program Project: "Ecological Response of Canal Corridor Habitats and Water Ecological Security Assurance Technology System."

(2) Shenzhen Sustainable Development Science and Technology Special Project: "Spatiotemporal Dynamic Assessment, Simulation, and Regulation of Urban Flood Resilience."

(3) Key Discipline Construction Project: "Coastal Mangrove Wetland Protection and Ecological Restoration."

(4) Intelligent Management of River Bay Water Quality and Water Ecology, among others.

2. Responsibilities include:

(1) Research on big data mining for water systems, AI-based simulations of flooding and water environments, and AI methods integrating data-driven and knowledge-driven approaches;

(2) Research on the monitoring, mechanism analysis, modeling, regulation, and restoration of riverbank wetlands and coastal mangrove habitat changes and ecological responses.

3. Conducting relevant experiments, observations, or mathematical modeling studies, writing papers, patent applications, and research reports, assisting with project management, and guiding graduate students.

Basic Qualifications

1. A Ph.D. in a relevant field (awarded within the last 3 years), with an age limit of 35 years; a passion for research and development, and strong practical skills.

2. At least one SCI paper published as the first or corresponding author.

3. Full-time commitment to postdoctoral research upon joining.

4. In good health, responsible, diligent, with excellent communication skills and a spirit of teamwork.

5. Meets the recruitment requirements for postdoctoral researchers at Peking University.

Additional Qualifications

(1) A strong foundation in disciplines such as GIS, remote sensing, big data, and artificial intelligence, with excellent mathematical modeling skills, proficiency in programming languages, and experience in hydrology, urban flooding, and water environment simulation preferred; or (2) A solid foundation in environmental science, ecology, or related disciplines, with strong experimental analysis and field survey skills, and experience in research on riverbank wetlands or coastal mangrove wetlands preferred.
