Professor Xiaoming Ma currently serves at the School of Environment and Energy, Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School, as a professor and Ph.D. supervisor. He is a member of the System Engineering Professional Committee of the China Energy Society, the Expert Committee for Shenzhen's Pilot Demonstration Zone Development, and the Shenzhen Carbon Emissions Trading Expert Committee.
His primary research areas include environmental and energy system analysis, environmental and energy big data, low-carbon development pathways, and environmental policies. Professor Ma has led and participated in numerous national projects, including National Science and Technology Research Programs, the National 863 Program, and the National Natural Science Foundation projects.
He has been recognized with three national and provincial-level awards for scientific and technological progress and was honored as an Outstanding Teacher in Beijing. He has authored eight books, including Carbon Emissions and Carbon Finance, The Economic Impact of Green Investment, and Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Environmental and Energy Fields. With over 100 published research papers, Professor Ma has also supervised more than 100 master's and Ph.D. students. Currently, he mentors six Ph.D. candidates and 17 master's students.
